Adele Young is a Professor at the University Of Belize located in Belize City. She grew up in Belize and has lived there her whole life.
"Because English is the official language, everyone at the university knows it so it isn't very diverse in that sense. The drop out rate is incredibly high and therefor the students at The University of Belize are highly motivated to move forward in their careers. I am a Biology teacher and the students are very collaborative and diligent."

Marc Hughes is an American businessman who spent 3 years living in Belize with his 2 young children.
“People from neighboring countries send their children to Belize to further their education in English. The institutions there aren't as prestige as America but they come in hopes for the opportunity to learn better English and progress further in the future. The country's economy is incredibly dependent on tourism, therefore at resorts and high end restaurants, the local workers are to be expected to speak English.”
